Description: Located on Shelter Island, between the North and South Forks of Long Island, Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center is a beautiful spot to teach! Quinipet offers beach and shoreline to teach marine programs, a low ropes course to facilitate team building, boulders for rock climbing, and nearby access points for kayaking. Environmental Education Interns get to experience all aspects of our program! Centered on curriculum development, teaching, facilitation, marketing and outreach, interns will receive a well-rounded learning opportunity. Positions are available during the spring (mid-April to mid-June), with the option to work through the summer (mid-June to mid-August), and fall (mid-August-early November). Compensation includes a weekly salary, housing and meals (when groups have food service), free access to laundry facilities, and training. Applicants should be strong communicators, leaders, and passionate about teaching kids. Applicants must be working toward a Bachelor’s degree and have at least one season of experience teaching environmental education.
