The Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church is seeking a full-
time Program Coordinator to be responsible for the overall summer camp and year-round
retreat ministries at our Warren Willis Camp/Life Enrichment Center. The mission of the staff
of the Warren Willis Camp/Life Enrichment Center is to prepare a sacred space in a natural
setting for all to grow in community and connect with Christ.

This 1000+ bed ministry camp is located in Fruitland Park, FL (near Leesburg) on beautiful
Lake Griffin and includes a 300-seat chapel, 800 seat auditorium, two kitchens, five dining
halls, low and high challenge course, pool, and many meeting spaces.  Our summer program
has a 70 year tradition of creating dynamic, life-changing experiences with the mission of
bringing children and youth closer to Christ and giving them opportunities to grow into
confident leaders in their church and community.

Primary responsibilities include:
Overseeing the daily operation of a vibrant and multifaceted summer camp program
including multiple overnight age levels, day camp and trip camp programs. Managing a
summer staff of 110 young adults as they work in operations and ministry roles. Developing
relationships with the clergy, youth and children’s workers of the Florida Annual Conference
of the United Methodist Church. Creating, developing and running, along with our program
staff, a dynamic range of retreats and programs all throughout the year. Serving in a
hospitality role for the many groups that spend time on our sacred grounds.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in relevant field of study
Minimum 1-3 years’ program experience in the camp, conference or retreat ministry setting
A passion for camping/retreat ministry and the mission of the Warren Willis Camp/Life
Enrichment Center
An understanding of the mission of the United Methodist Church and the role camping
ministry serves in that mission
Qualified candidates must be a professing Christian
Demonstrate experience supervising staff, nurturing leaders, and developing world-class
curriculum.

Preferences:
Preference will be given to a member of a United Methodist Church.
Preference will be given to those with advance degrees.

Salary is based on qualifications and experience.
