About our Theme

The moments of wonder found at camp are what keep people coming back, year after year. And for camp and retreat professionals, a deepening sense of wonder is what draws us into a calling to serve in this unique ministry.

But there is surely depth to the idea of wonder! Wonder can be found in the star-filled sky, but can’t it also be found in the vast unknown of that same universe? A sense of wonder can lead us to so many varied emotions, reflections, questions, and affirmations of our faith.

Join us as we explore how being filled with wonder leads us to a deeper understanding of our call to ministry, our fellowship with others, and our connection to a God that seems to weave wonder in everything around us.

Meet our Keynote Speaker:
Rev. Dr. Darrell Hull

Bio:

My ministry paradigm is constructed upon my calling to preach the Word of God with integrity and freshness to hearers of all generations and nations. My personal mission statement is “To love all people into Christlikeness through the practicing and preaching of the Word”.

My contribution to the Kingdom and the world is to “Influence Significance” by helping ordinary people discover their unique significance.

I am a man of faith, a communication consultant, and a published author. My first book, Speaking Across Generations, was released by IVP in the Spring of 2022. In this book, I explore the intersection of generational science and effective preaching. This work is the result of local and nationwide research I’ve conducted with Barna Group. I share insights about each generation and how to speak their language. This book is for anyone who wants to learn how to better communicate with someone born in a different generation.

The joy of my life is my best friend and the wife of my youth, Eboni. We are the parents of sons Dylan, Daniel, and Dixon. We also have a Yorkie fur daughter named Zoe.
