Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
• In cooperation with the Associate Executive Director, provide day to day leadership.
• Serves as the primary staff person responsible for the overall guest experience and for providing hospitality and welcome to retreat.
• Through hospitality and service, actively engage and energize the participants and supporters of the LCC, building positive relationships with all guests and supporters.
• Give day to day leadership to all programs and functions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local site staff, maintaining two year-round direct reports: Maintenance Manager, Head Cook.
• Assist in the implementation of effective systems to track progress toward ministry goals and priorities, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board and constituents.
• Lead the recruitment and management of seasonal staff.
• Assist in ministering to, and caring for, the worship life of the ministry Church and Community Relations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the synods, congregations, key 
constituents, key church leaders, and others in the community who are important 
to the mission of the LCC
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders.
• Serve as a spokesperson for the LCC at congregations and events.
Fundraising & Communications:
• Support the work of development by maintaining positive relationships with the 
constituents of LCC.
• Support the work of the Executive Director in development as requested.
Administration
• Conduct an annual assessment of the properties, facilities, and equipment on the site.
o Assist in the recommendation maintenance, renovation, and improvement 
projects through the Executive Director to the Board of Directors.
• Supervise and consult with maintenance staff to ensure that routine repairs and maintenance needs are completed. 
• Assist in the development of the annual site budget.
• Assist in the management of the annual site budget. 
In addition to all of the above, other duties may be assigned as necessary for the good 
of the organization’s mission

Salary Range/Compensation:  $50,000-55,000; depending upon experience.
