Suttle Lake Camp is seeking a full-time Assistant Director to oversee programming, assist in guest group hosting and management, and to support the continued growth of camp. Located in Sisters, Oregon, Suttle Lake United Methodist Camp is one of 6 sites run by the Board of Camp and Retreat Ministries of the Oregon-Idaho Conference of the United Methodist Church and in partnership with the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon. We serve over 60 groups a year of various different backgrounds, including from other faith traditions, educational institutions, recovery groups, United Methodists, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Disciples of Christ, other Christian denominations, crafters and artists, and more! Known as a place apart to be together, our mission at Suttle Lake Camp is to create sacred spaces of Christian hospitality and learning. The Assistant Director will play an important part in supporting our mission by growing programming and supporting operations. Responsibilities include: planning and coordinating summer programming, staff and volunteer recruitment and management, supporting guest group hosting, identifying new sources of camper and staff recruitment, and being a key team member as we prepare for the next 100 years of ministry. Our ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, has experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and has an understanding of youth programming, customer service, and experience in managing staff. We recognize that there are many different paths to show the skills needed to thrive in this position and welcome applicants of diverse backgrounds.
Salary range/Compensation Package: $40,000-45,000, commensurate with experience
