Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center is seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to serve as Director of Maintenance. This position oversees all aspects of facility and grounds maintenance across our 1,200-acre property, including buildings, utilities, vehicles, and infrastructure. The Director manages a team, coordinates with contractors, maintains safety standards, and supports Ferncliff’s mission of caring for Creation and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utilities
  • Lead and manage maintenance staff, volunteers, and contractors
  • Oversee water systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and vehicles
  • Maintain safety and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and manage equipment, inventory, and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Coordinate capital improvement projects and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in facilities or construction management
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, utility operations, and equipment maintenance
  • Leadership experience and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work hands-on, lift 50+ lbs, and respond to emergencies
  • Valid driver’s license; relevant certifications (water, HVAC, etc.) preferred
  • Commitment to Ferncliff’s mission and environmental stewardship

Salary Range/Compensation Package:  $65,000-75,000.
