Leading a camp or retreat ministry within The United Methodist Church brings unique opportunities, relationships, and challenges. This ILG offers a welcoming space for United Methodist leaders in a variety of roles to explore how denominational structure, theology, connectional relationships, and current realities influence their work. Participants will share experiences, learn from one another, and discuss topics such as working effectively with Annual Conference leaders, communicating the value of camp and retreat ministry, navigating seasons of change, and connecting ministry practices with the mission of The United Methodist Church. Together, the group will build a trusted network of colleagues and gain practical insight for leading faithfully and effectively in the United Methodist context.
