North Georgia Camp and Retreat Ministries, Inc., a ministry of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, is receiving applications for the position of Director of Glisson Retreats. This key member of the NGCRM, Inc. leadership team will guide the retreat hospitality of Glisson Camp and Retreat Center, including the day-to-day operational support for guest retreats: oversight and participation in reservations, retreat hosting, management of the food service vendor partner, and supervision of the hospitality staff.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience in the hospitality industry, with preference for management experience in the camping and retreat sector. Candidates should have significant administrative oversight experience; ability to be a member of a radically collaborative team; an ability to meet the public; and a deep desire to contribute to transforming the world by forming faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. The Director of Glisson Retreats will work from an office located on the 380-acre site of Glisson Camp and Retreat Center in Dahlonega, Georgia. The position offers a comprehensive compensation package with salary commensurate with experience and the responsibilities of the position. On-site housing may be a negotiable part of the compensation package.
The NGCRM family of ministries includes Glisson, which serves over 2,700 summer campers and 7,000 retreat guests annually; the mobile Grow Day Camps serving 20 sites and approximately 600 campers each summer; and the Experiential Leadership Institute which offers immersive leadership development and practice for high school students.
